Zen mode bugs

I am not sure what the forum rules are about it, but I feel like that a thread specific to zen mode issues could be useful. It is one of my favorites features, but there are still some rough edges worth addressing.

When full view zen mode is selected, going in and out of full view very briefly shows the hidden top bar, giving a jittery transition.
When going out of full view zen mode, blue photo selection flashes and you can't navigate grid view.
Disabling full view zen mode after switching to full screen makes an empty space appear instead of the top bar.
Grid view zen mode choice is not retained when quitting and reopening. (could be considered a missing feature instead of a bug)
No zen mode option selection on the three dots top right menu. You can only know about it through documentation. (could be considered a missing feature instead of a bug)

I'll continue trying to tweak this one. This feature has been particularly challenging with hiding/showing the toolbars etc. Apple framework fights every step of this so I'm not sure how much better I can make the jittery transitions.

Interesting. I thought these would actually be easy bugs compared to others, but it makes sense if Apple frameworks are involved. Do you see the specific thing I am mentioning in point one that briefly appears and disappears? I can make a gif of it to help make it clear.

Actually, I just had another look and I don't see the jittery transition. I did see in in older builds but in the most recent one it seems to transition pretty smoothly both in windowed mode and full screen mode.

The three bugs still happening:

First is more of a missing feature. It would be great to have and easy enough to implement maybe!

Will add the zen mode persistence to the next release. As for the other small UI glitches, will have to defer this for a bit later. (can't really replicate it so i suspect its only for macOS 15 which it think you're on).

Cool! Yes, 15. Sadly updating is not an option at this point for how buggy GG is.
